Here are
some moving tips from your friends at Rocker's Lockers
-
Quick Tip #1
Bubble wrap is always the best way to go when packing
fragile items. If bubble wrap is not obtainable, wrap
pictures and mirrors in a sheet or blanket before boxing
to give them added protection.
-
Quick Tip #2
Plates and other flat, breakable items should be packed
on end vertically rather than flat and stacked.
-
Quick Tip #3
Use boxes designed for moving. Boxes obtained from
grocery or retail stores may be damaged and often are
not strong enough to safely hold your belongings.
-
Quick Tip #4
When packing large TVs and other electronics, carefully
pack the item in a sturdy carton that has been lined
with newsprint or Styrofoam "peanuts".
Securely seal the carton and mark the outside "Extremely
Fragile" so friends and relatives know what they are
helping you move.
